Actor Yami Gautam has offered a rare and heartfelt glimpse into her personal life, opening up about her love story with filmmaker Aditya Dhar, best known for directing Uri: The Surgical Strike and the upcoming film Dhurandhar. In a candid interaction, Yami revealed what truly made her fall for Aditya and ultimately decide to marry him  not grand romantic gestures, but simple acts of kindness and respect.

Recalling a moment that left a lasting impression, Yami revealed that during a shoot, Aditya offered his chair to her stylist without a second thought. “It may sound small, but for me, that said everything about the man he is,” she said. “How someone treats people who are not in positions of power tells you their real character.”

Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar surprised fans in 2021 when they announced their marriage with intimate wedding pictures from Himachal Pradesh. The ceremony was attended only by close family members, aligning with the couple’s preference for privacy and simplicity.

Speaking about the decision, Yami explained that both she and Aditya wanted a wedding that felt authentic and meaningful, rather than a spectacle. “We wanted it to be about us, our families, and our roots,” she said.

Despite being married to a filmmaker, Yami insists that their relationship is not built around professional collaborations. The two maintain clear boundaries between work and personal life, which, according to Yami, has helped them nurture a strong partnership.

She also shared that Aditya’s unwavering support allows her to focus on her craft without pressure. “He understands my journey, my choices, and gives me the space to grow,” she noted.
